Every day on the OBX is a good day, even the rainy ones!
The weather can be unpredictable. Rain can last a few minutes, a few hours, or sometimes, the entire day. Some days the sky is beautiful, but the RED FLAG is up! Red day or rain day doesn't mean you can't enjoy the beautiful coastal atmosphere on the OBX.
Rainy Day Tips:
- Traffic can get really backed up on a rainy day as "everyone" decides it is a good day to stay off the beach. Check the duck traffic cams before you head out.
- The North Carolina Aquarium in Manteo is a popular rainy day plan - so, it may be sold out. Check before you go. Reservations are required. Check for availability here.
