The Sanderling Community Pool is located to the north (toward Corolla) across from the Sanderling Hotel\/Resort. Turn into the parking lot just past the Sanderling Community Building.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Sanderling is home to deer, small mammals, and numerous bird species; the Sound, lagoons, and lakes in the area are rich in aquatic life.<\/p>\n

Maritime trees, shrubs, and grasses shaped by the wind and sea, have been carefully tended and all construction in Sanderling is regulated to minimize the loss of natural vegetation.<\/p>\n

Within this well-preserved environment, Sanderling community pays tribute to a simple and unadorned life at the beach. It is a place for the gathering of family and friends who come principally to enjoy the environment.<\/p>\n

Please do not walk on the dunes<\/strong>, damage sand fences, or damage or remove sea oats or other foliage as they help preserve and protect our community and delicate ecology.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Beach access<\/b>\u00a0is available using Boardwalks 5 through 11. The closest access to The Lookout is access #6. (Just a 5 min. walk.)<\/span><\/div><\/div>

Access<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>to the Currituck Sound<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>is available at the piers and boat ramp located at the Sanderling Racquet and Swim Club one mile north of The Lookout.<\/p>\n

All other piers and beach or sound access locations are private property.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
